Caisse des Depôts et Consignations (CDC) is the largest French State-owned bank and as a market builder, they have been helping to develop the Social Impact Industry locally. CDC is funding the social impact NGOs as well as investing directly into social businesses and indirectly via Social Impact Funds.
CDC and its subsidiairies constitute a public group in the service of the country's general interest and economic development. Within its mission of general interest, it supports and invests in the local French ecosystem of social enterprises and NGOs guided by four main strategic transitions:
- territorial
- demographic
- digital
- ecological and energy
They are looking to share their experiences in collaborating with different Ministries, the Parliament and the Senate, and their work with the French Impact Initiative.
They are interested in the international benchmarking of the sector and in learning from other European ecosystems.
