AVPN and the University of Zurich’s Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth (CSP) have partnered to deliver a bespoke 2.5 day course on Impact Investing for the Next Generation to help next generation family members (NextGens) understand the evolving landscape of impact investing, meet peers from across Asia, and develop their unique impact strategy.

The program is based on the Harvard IRI/Zurich CSP Impact Investing for the Next Generation course and has been tailor-made to bring together a selected group of NextGens in Asia.

An important goal of the program is to build and foster strong cohorts of wealth owners committed to impact investing within a family context.

Day 1 (15 Feb 2020, 12:00 pm - 08:00 pm)

  • Welcome lunch
  • Introduction, sharing by NextGen impact investors
  • How sustainability reshapes our society and economy
  • Defining sustainable investing approaches
  • Networking dinner and evening talk with experts

Day 2 (16 Feb 2020, 9:00 am - 05:00 pm)

  • Impact enterprise due diligence exercise
  • Due diligence on impact funds
  • Planning for 100% impact portfolios, by TONIIC
  • Global trends in impact management

Day 3 (17 Feb 2020, 9:00 am - 05:30 pm)

  • Impact investing in Asia deep dive
  • Family dynamics and building an impact strategy
  • Having productive conversations with your advisor
  • Collaborating across impact themes
  • Graduation ceremony & group photo, networking apero & farewell

Course Fees

USD2500 for 2.5 day course, includes course materials, tea breaks, lunch on all days, dinner on Day 1, networking apero on Day 3.

Early bird rate of USD1500 is available for registrations before 15 Jan 2020.

Who can apply?

  • Each cohort convenes up to 30 next generation stewards of family wealth, typically 20-40 years of age
  • Participants need to be committed to shifting - over time - significant capital into impact investing
  • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis following individual interviews
