The Ukrainian Enterprise Promotion Awards is Ukraine’s national stage of the European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA), which is open to all EU-countries and a range of non-EU participants. It recognizes outstanding efforts to support and promote small and medium enterprises (SMEs) at national, regional, and local levels. Since the start of the competition in 2006, over 4.400 projects have participated.

For this year’s Ukrainian competition, 81 applicants applied for participation, representing a diverse mix of socially responsible businesses and public and private organizations that promote the development of entrepreneurship in the country. The jury determined a total of six winners of the national competition, two of which will represent Ukraine at the European stage.

SILab Ukraine presented their extensive work done within the framework of the EU-funded Collaborate For Impact-project. Clearly, the jury was appreciative of these efforts, spearheaded by the launch of the Ukrainian Social Venture Fund, which has supported 28 enterprises financially, created 141 jobs and raised over 400.000 euros in additional capital from investors.

The winners of the European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) are announced at the awards ceremony during the SME Assembly in Copenhagen, between November 10-12, as a part of European SME Week.

"A strong economy is impossible without strong small and medium-sized businesses. That is why, even in times of war, we, together with international partners, continue to support Ukrainian entrepreneurs - so that they can develop, create jobs, and implement new ideas. It is especially valuable that many initiatives are born by entrepreneurs themselves, their associations, and public organizations. With the UEPA-awards, we celebrate the best of them”.
Tetyana Berezhna, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine

A similar appraisal comes from Anton Hranko, Deputy Director of the Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development and part of the jury for this year’s edition.

"Ukrainian entrepreneurship has become mature, resilient and ready to scale, despite all the challenges. The UEPA 2025 National Award is about people, teams and ideas that change the economic reality of the country every day. Therefore, it is important for us not only to recognize such leaders, but also to give them a platform for international recognition, new partnerships and growth”.

The Ukrainian Enterprise Promotion Awards 2025 was initiated by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development, and the national project Action.Business within the framework of the EU4Business: SME Policies and Institutions Support (SMEPIS) project, which is implemented by Ecorys in a consortium with GIZ, BRDO, and Civitta with financial support from the European Union.
