In 2025, Impact Europe becomes the European home for catalytic capital.
Together with our members, we aim to build a shared understanding of catalytic capital in the European context, close knowledge gaps, and encourage more catalytic deployment across the investment spectrum. In short, we want to help mainstream catalytic capital across Europe.
The Catalytic Capital Community of Practice (CoP) is built around six touchpoints throughout the year, offering opportunities to learn, share, and grow together.
For this first gathering, we’re excited to welcome Harvey Koh, Senior Advisor to the Catalytic Capital Consortium (C3), Dalberg, and FSG. Harvey will introduce the Capital Gaps Framework Project: a developing global initiative supported by C3 that explores how to better describe, understand, and address capital gaps. The project proposes a five-step methodology for investors and is currently being tested through deep-dive case studies in agri-SME finance and employee ownership. This session will offer a first look at the framework, how it might support your work, and opportunities to get involved in feedback or testing.
Shape the agenda
Each 90-minute online gathering follows a peer-driven flow of inspiration, connection, and action, with open opportunities to contribute ideas, share your work, and connect with other members throughout the year.
- inspiration: a case study or approach from a CoP member, followed by group reflection and Q&A
- connection: a curated roundtable moment to discover who’s in the room, exchange updates, and share knowledge or needs with peers
- action: community announcements, upcoming events, member-led initiatives, and opportunities to collaborate or spotlight your work

This community is being built with you, for you, and by you. As part of this session, you’ll have the chance to suggest topics for future gatherings, contribute updates, and hear directly from peers. It’s your space to be present, learn, and shape the next steps of catalytic capital in Europe together.
